EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE AS A MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONAL
I graduated from The University of Colorado at Denver with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology
and an additional emphasis in School Counseling, in 2005. I have gained clinical experience through
working in public, private and residential school settings, community mental health agencies and
currently in private practice. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and I have been working with
children, adolescent and families since 2005. I have additional training and experience in providing Play
Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma Focused Cognitive
Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
My experience includes providing individual and family therapy as well as group counseling and for
children and teens. I have provided group counseling and workshops in the areas of social skills for
children and teens, academic success skills, adolescent girl’s empowerment, bully proofing, parenting
groups for those parenting adoptive or foster children, building confidence in children, ADHD/ADD and
Anxiety management.
